I am zz and am having infusions weekly......been doing it for 3 or 4 years, before that it was monthly, but that's not good. It needs to b weekly. U must have a really good nurse who comes to your house and is knowledgeable. Otherwise it is hell. I had a horrible first experience, but after that, everything went great! I'm recently diagnosed and getting prolastin weekly. I've only had 4 infusions so far, so I haven't noticed any change yet. A nurse comes to my house each week, and does a great job with my wiggly veins. No side effects either.

I am MZ They wanted me to start it too. I have 15% lung capacity left & after insurance pays it will cost me 2 thousand a month. Have not heard alot of positive things about it. Every one i have talked to has 70-80% of there lung fuction. I wonder how they new they had bad lungs. I didn't know until it was too late.

I have a friend who is a ZZ and has been getting infusion therapy for over 25 years. She's doing very well; but without it probably wouldn't be here at all.
