Did you get tested for Alpha -1 Antitrypsin Deficiency? I make marshmallow root tea every day. When my chest starts feeling heavy I drink it. Works well to loosen things up.

I also have asthma. Asthma makes my lungs in a chronic state of inflammation if I understand correctly. When my asthma flares it burns a lot.

Your lungs feel like they are on fire because they are. It is called inflammation.

I have not been tested for Alpha-1 that I know of. I see my new Dr. Tomorrow May 6 , 2015 to get the Answers and Results from testing he just had done 2 weeks ago. I am a little nervous about it , He had Breathing test , Chest X-Rays and a Echo Cardiogram done. He wants to talk to me tomorrow so I am not looking forward to going. I Hope it is Good News not Bad and it is somehow going to be alright and Nothing too Serious. I am worried I will need heart surgery. I have had congested heart failure since my early 20's . He thinks it is worse, I'll find out tomorrow , I have a Heart Murmur and Bronchial Asthma too. I have a lot of health problems . So Hoping for a miracle pill to fix me enough I can function. I Know I live in a fantasy world but sometimes that is the only coping tool I have. Sorry I rambled . Thank You for Your Suggestions and for letting me know about the Test Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. Bless You . Hugs .
