What Is The Best Way Of Getting Up Thick Phlem Other Than Steam

Is there any way of making phlem thinner so it is easier to cough up

I use musinex-probably spelled it wrong. It works for me. Thins the phlegm and coughing it up is easier. Good luck! Chris

Drink plenty of water. Guafiasin is in Robitussin cough syrup and loosens phlegm. I bought it one time in a bottle by itself with nothing else in it, but haven't seen it lately. Also, Mucinex, may help, but if you can find liquid guafiasin, it is cheap and is the same med.

I have a history of congestive heart failure (chemo drugs); but my heart recovered from that hit. Heart failure kind of goes along with COPD. It may be a good thing for all with this disease to weigh on a regular basis. If your weight goes up 3 or 4 pounds in a day, you are probably holding fluid, which could mean heart failure. The heart struggles to pump blood into our little air sacs in our lungs, which we know are damaged, then it starts to suffer damage, too.

Yes, at least this works for me.. "Apple cider vinegar" In a glass of water mix enough to lightly yellow the water. then sip on it all day long I do about a quart to 1/2 gallon a day.
I have sleep apeana (Spelling) I had hard water and ruined one so stopped using water in mine, after about a month I developed this thick mucus in my mouth and throat and you could almost cut it with a knife I could roll it up with my tounge. I also get cramps from the water pills I take .. I've known Apple cider vinegar was good for getting potassium in the body fast, so started using it and noticed when I drank it I had less problems with the phlegm... try it.. ...
