Best advice I can give to any of you reading this is and this is important
Ask your Pulmonologist about getting a Nebulizer for home use if you don't have one now. They run about (Phone number can only be seen by MyCOPDTeam users) and most insurance plans pay 80% as they are Durable Medical Equipment. Then the medication is covered by Medicare as a hospital type medication so currently my Duo-Neb runs 10.63 for 360 doses which allows me to use it 4 times a day, if I have too. I use a nebulizer as well. I use Albuterol in mine. It seems to help. I never had to pay a copay for mine either. But I do have private insurance as well as Medicare.
I was sent home with one when discharged from hospital. My insurance paid for all of it but $5.00. I am on Albuterol as well (4 x a day).
