I accidently left the setting at 3 for around 15 hours after she woke up. Should I be concerned? She seems to be fine right now.

I should have said also that she needs to get an oximeter so she can monitor her saturation levels. Then you would have known that the O2 was set higher than prescribed. As long as her O2 sats are above 90, she's fine. She might find that she's far more comfortable when her sats are in the mid-90s which might require you to turn them up a bit. As long as she's moving around and doing things, exerting herself, she'll be fine. Just turn it back down when she's sedentary.

I have mine on what I call mid 3; on straight 3 by the time I get the 40 steps to concentrator, I'm huffing & puffing & ox down to 60's. 3 1/4 is very functional. Can keep myself under control. Too many other things to worry about too high. Pulmonologists say ok to turn up when ever heavy exertion. I think as long as upped isn't a habit, we are good.

I don't think its harmful every now & then. I'm healing from an episode & just can't do lower numbers until muscletone is back. Then I'll really concentrate on the number.
