Coughing Only At Night
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have moderate COPD but I only tend to cough real bad when I lay down at night unless I really over exert myself that is anything to help me not cough so bad at night?

I also used Raw honey and prior to going to bed if I feel that tickle I suck on a raw lemon with SALT. Believe me it helped a whole lot

I used to use peppermint candy before I quit smoking to stop my coughing. It worked. At the time I could only sleep on my left side.. Now I can sleep any way I want since I quit smoking

Sleeping propped up is a good idea, I have a V shaped pillow which is very comfortable. If I cough really badly then I get up and sit in a chair, put my feet up and cover myself with a blanket. Then, when my hubby gets up, I go back to bed. I don't want him to lose any sleep, I need him fully awake and functioning LOL!

All good suggestions! Also @ night try to prop urself up a bit maybe an extra pillow behind ur head. That will help with the airflow somewhat.
