I am trying to get an oxygen concentrator, mostly for flying . But don't know if I am picking correct one? Can you look at this and give me your thoughts? Thank you so much

I have one from Inogen. It comes with 2 batteries, each lasts not quite 4 hours. Has a car adaptor and then the regular adaptor to charge it at home. I love mine, so very convenient.

Lynn, please understand that the numbers 1 through 6 on the Inogen don't equate to liters per minute. They are just the numbers the Inogen folks decided to use. If you understand the concept of "pulse", you know that you're not getting the equivalent of liters per minute. You're only getting a bolus of O2 when you breathe, or in the case of the Inogen, when it sends it to you, since if you set it at 3, for instance, it gives you so many breaths per minute and you need to adjust your breathing to the machine's timing or you can get all out of whack with it. It will get adjust and you'll get back in synch with it, but it is times to give a bolus of O2 every so often during the use.

Call the airline they will have a list of types of portable oxygen concentrators that are allowed on flights. You will also have to have a form filled out by your doctor from the airline & carry a copy of your oxygen prescription with you to show at check-in.
