Diagnosed with severe COPD. NOT ON OXYGEN
Every morning I wake up my nose is blocked similar to hay fever. Then the mucus runs down my throat and I have to cough it up. Usually clear but sometimes thick and green
It has been called post nasal drip or rhinitis and I have a nasal spray which does not help. After an hour or so it more or less stops for the rest of the day but sometimes comes back and it feels like it is triggered by an allergy?
I also get heavy nose bleeds and I have had my nose… read more

For the last week or so my nose has been clear and I have not had any nosebleeds.
Why? My Dr. gave me a new antibiotic. For years I have been prescribed Amoxycillin 500 which never totally cleared my infections which is why I have had so many flare ups.
The new drug is Co-amoxiclav 500 and I have felt better these last few days than I have in months.
Might be worth you trying this.

When I find myself with a stopped up nose and can't breathe I get out my Neti-pot.
Best purchase I ever made. Great for sinus infections also. Hope you find relief soon.
I spend the first part of my morning blowing crap out of my nose and coughing it up. I'm on Nasocort and will use whatever otc med I need to use to keep it clear. I've heard people talk about a Netipot but have no clue what it is
Because I have high blood pressure, I take Coricidin. It's great for your nasal problems.
