I Am Searching For A Specialized Program For Disabled To Assist In Paying Rent/utilities.
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am searching for a specialized program for COPD patients to assist me in paying rent/utilities. I am on permanent disability and only receive enough monthly income to pay rent. This amount cannot be increased because it is determined by my lifetiime contribution. Section 8, in New Jersey, is not accepting new applications and I have only received $225 from the State for utilities for 2016. I don't know what to do. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The only way that you can get medical health assistance financially is a health insurance policy. I know of no aided assistance for the disease of COPD specifically. God bless and help you with your problems. Hugs...

Teresa H., I have one son, 26, and he is struggling to find his way in the world. I only have one sister, 5 years older, and we were never close. Having a rich successful husband, 5 children and 5 grandchildren and never having worked a day in her life, she has decided that since she has helped me in the past (when my finacee died and his brother kicked me out of the house) that that's it. I'm on my own now. I've struggled, juggled and fought my way through tough times and life in general and I can do it again. I'll continue to do research and look for answers, and I'll survive, somehow. Someone out there knows of something that can help me and people like me. I'm sure of it.
