I've started getting an itchy back and occasionally other areas. Started taking Spiriva Feb.10 and can't say I noticed the itching until around Mar. 21. It has been with me off and on since then, but definitely everyday. I at first thought it may be a new detergent I started using but I've worn clothes that weren't washed in it and I still get itchy. Other than Spiriva, I can't think of anything else changing.
That is what I do not like about these medications, they all have side effects. I always look up on the internet first re drug read it and see what it says, if I am not happy I go see my doctor and she usually tells me what, or why these things are happening. Again if she does not like my side effect she will put me on something else to try. I sometimes think we are just used for testing out all these drugs. If the itch is quite bad see your doctor and you might be put on something else. What works for one person does not work for another. Keep trying and keep strong. Take care.
yeast infection, side effects of the breathers and nebulizer meds, irritating as heck, but still can breathe better, just another side effect to get used to, that and thrus in the mouth, remember to always rinse your mouth after using them
One of the side effects of Spiriva can be an allergic reaction of hives or itching. Since you didn't develop it until late in the game, I would think that it might not be a game changer, but I would certainly let my doc know. Because you didn't develop it until late in the game, it's also possible that it has nothing to do with the Spiriva, so you might want to have your doc explore other possibilities.
