I was told I had fluid in both lungs and damage to both lungs, most damage on right side.First I was told I have COPD, now they tell me I have emazema.
COPD is an umbrella term that describes people with both emphysema and chronic bronchitis, so you were basically told you have the same thing with two different names. Usually they take an x-ray to determine if the pneumonia (fluid) is gone from your lungs.
Thank you very much. this answered so many things I did not know. My Dr. did not tell me at the time I had fluid in my lungs was pneumonia. I was in the hospital for a different reason. So thanks so much,it was a great help.
I suppose any sort of respiratory illness is a form of COPD? asthma fit in there too!
