Hello to everyone , I hope ever one is breathing well , it will be better with the cooler weather ,
I just wanted to let everyone know on July 6th I had a pulmonary test And they said there's a possible chance I didn't have COPD , I have bad acid reflux with a sliding hernia , they was thinking the acid was irritating my lungs along with my hernia
I had Surgery at U of M in Ann Arbor michigsn
As of to I'm doing better , not having to use my 3 inhales or my nebulizer , and I got a report from U of M that my lung function has improved , I have to go to the pulmonologist next month for another test , Im praying and hoping it will come out good
If you have acid reflux pkease make your dr check this out it may be a good part of why you are having COPD simtums

I had HEP-C and my doctor helped me get the ultra expensive Harvoni . An 8 week course is about $90,000.00, a 12 week course if needed is about 125,000.00. He contacted the pharmacy and a company called PATIENT ACCESS NETWORK. I had to purchase Part D on Medicare (Humana@$100.00 per month). The Pharmacy, Patient access network and my part D all paid. It cost me Nothing! I suppose what I'm saying is work with the Doctors office if you can't afford something and they will guide you through the steps.

Be careful of pharmacies offering deals on 30 vs 90 day prescription refills. Mine offered me 90 days of Daliresp for $475 which equals $5.27 per pill. I asked about the 30 day supply and it was $127 which equals #4.23 per pill. Overall I will save $94 by making three trips to the store vs one trip. Know your numbers!!!
Best to all,
BillK

Most drug companies have PAP (Prescription Assistance Programs). Just go to their website and search on patient assistance program and you should find forms to fill out. They also have numbers to call if you need help. If you qualify, are under a certain level of income, they will mail you drugs every 3 months and there will be no charge. You will have to have your doctor fill out their portion of the form. It should not be a problem. If it is, see another doctor! These forms only have to be filled out annually. Not every 3 months. Not all drugs are covered by these programs, but most are. Good luck to you!
