Specific Brands Of Good Air Purifiers?/Need Recommendations
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello, everyone. Been a while since I've been here. New health issues, lung infections, etc., so I just haven't been on the computer very much. :-( Anyway- Someone suggested that I need to have some air purifiers in my home, because I have two cats, and (Ugh!) litter boxes (although my husband takes care of those). I'm on oxygen 24/7, so I rarely leave my home, yet I keep getting lung infections. My doctors want me to get rid of my cats, and I just can't do it; at least until we've tried… read more

You can go on the internet and type in air purifier ratings and get some ideas. They have whole house air purifiers you can check out. Room purifiers only do a certain size area. I also use vitamins 1000mg capsule vitamin C, vitamin D3, turmeric and others. You can do research on these and more to see what you might need. Years ago I started taking 1000 mg of C and hardly got sick anymore ( this is before I got COPD) but it does help and I do not get sick often. Vitamin D3 I believe helps the lungs and helps stop or prevent lung infections. Turmeric fights inflammation. I did find on the internet a lot of other vitamins that could help and some natural herbs.

Hi everyone,
I have been reading all your answers with a sinking heart. I have COPD, smoked for 41 years and am on ventolin and Spiriva and we have a pug. He is the love of our lives and I cannot give him up. I do not allow him into the bedroom, but he is all over the house. Tanya, my heart is with you because I understand how difficult it is to have to give up one's pets. I cannot give up our pug, Paco.
Best wishes. Good luck and breather easy.
Nazli
