Do you have one exercise that especially helps? Do you use any special herbs or aroma therapies? Your favorite breathing techniques?

I have found when I am experiencing very bad shortage of breath to blow through a straw into a bottle that I have about 1/4 filled with water. I take two breaths through the nose and then blow out making bubbles . After doing this 4 or 5 times I find my breathing has got back to normal - well as normal as can be for me lol xxx Have been doing this several times today even with the airconditioning on we were above 30o at times during the day and going up and down stairs was taking its toll on me.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, hi, I keep balloons handy, I find blowing them up helps, besides I think it's pretty good exercise for my lungs. I also have one of those contraptions they have one use when in the hospital, that helps too. Deep breathing is good anytime. The more one does the better off we are. Good luck.

keeping your home as dust free as you can. there are filters you put on ceiling fan blades. One company sells filters to fit you air ducks. don't forget to change them at least one to two months. Also a humidifier cold really helps be careful not to put to much into the air. As I said before my one doctor made me promise not to look up things in the internet. None of us are the same. What helps one can really upset the other. I could just scream when questions are being asked about meds. Not only does your doctor have the information but also the pharmacy If you get your meds at one place they will help you keep track of your meds and if there's a recall they will get hold of you.
