I do everyday.. I thought I was alone with this issue. Feels like a pulled muscle.. They say that when the lungs are like inflammed that they hit or are pushed against the ribs and cause the pain. mine go from under breast to back and sometimes it effects both lungs, but mainly the right side.

Wow! I have this two for the past 6 years and was unable to move left or right? However, in February, my MD diagnosed me with Nash disease of the liver. I changed my diet to only eating small portions and have lost 50 lbs. and not the daily pain I had for all those years! When I overeat it is back and taking my bra off is a def. help too! Just my own experience here. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

I get the same pains and the stuck in the ribs bit. When I do the breathing cycle, as taught by the physiotherapist, it actually clicks! I worried about this at first but I'm getting used to it now.

So true! The lung in rib thing? Is that what I've been feeling here for the past two or three months? It feels like a muscle cramping up just below my ribs.... wow! The tightness in my chest is really a booger, because I also have CHF... so if it's my heart acting up... I think it just my COPD .. and so on. What's a girl to do!! Pray and thank God for every day he leaves me on this earth. Merry CHRISTmas everyone.

Always had to deal with this pleurisy type pain specially when raising arms or bending over, like when I used to shower rather than bath and getting groceries out of car.....It is hyperinflated lungs rubbing up against diaphragm that causes the bulk of it.....The pain can also move around left to right or across the full chest area........Been on Morphine because the pain is getting very debilitating....
