Talk with your doc about this. As you probably know, getting the flu shot is something every doc recommends for people with COPD. If you have specific reasons for not getting the shot, he needs to know and can perhaps make an alternative suggestion. The problem with having COPD and not getting the shot is that people with COPD who do get the flu are far more likely to develop things like pneumonia that can cause significant additional lung damage. Most of us really want to avoid that!

Some ppl react to shots and some aren't in the least bothered by them. 'Tis the nature of the beast.

I have it every year, only side effect is mild soreness ar injection site. Bad luck on your part, get it soon as available and limiit close contact with contagious
