I do have IBS with both constipation/diarrhea which is probably why this inhaler effected me and not others. I wound up in the ER due to extreme constipation that lead to colitis attack. Before talking to my Pulmonologist who really isn't concerned as much with my GI problems I talked to the pharmacist. She basically told me all the inhalers have at least a 1% chance (as the medication Anoro I was taking did).
I appreciate the ideas but I was looking for anyone else that had the same problem as me and what they did. Since there's a 1-5% chance of inhalers for emphysema causing constipation what other treatments for their emphysema have they tried not treatments for constipation.
Codeine painkillers are a known cause. because i have copd the constipation has a serious effect on my breathing. also when i need a wee same problem. anyone else out that have this problem.
if you are on morphine for air hunger , that could be where the constipation lies, they should prescribe you senna tabs with the morphine to help keep you regular because the morphine will constipate you and it is necessary to keep regular
After my 1st hip replacement I was really bunged. My doctor gave me a script B 4 I left the hospital and all became well within 30 hours.
