I think the reason my inhalers are more effective is due to the breathing technique I use. First, I tilt my head back to open the throat and airways and keep it there. I exhale as much air as possible from my lungs, then breathe deeply and hold it in for a count of 12. After doing 12 three times, I repeat and hold for a count of 16 three times. Next, I hold and count to 20 three times. By then, my lungs are full of air and I'm good.

I have both but I think I get better results from the nebulizer. I can use it every two hours if I need to and I can take one treatment after the other if I need it . I use two meds, albuterol and Ipratopium . I bring u p more mucous and I do not need the inhaler at all.

I believe both work, it is what works BEST for YOU that counts. I like and am comfortable with my inhaler. It is what works best for me. When I have been sick the nebulizers worked better. So both serve a useful purpose.

I agree with you. I feel very lucky I usually get bronchitis Spring & Fall due to Mother Nature. Went to new Dr. and asked why they call bronchitis COPD - he said that it was a umbrella for lung problems. I felt better than - after reading this I really feel blessed. I Use my inhalers and when really sick use a nebulizer. I am very active and do not have shortness of breath. Sometimes reading all that is going on with a lot of you scares me so I don't get on too much. Also very busy being a Red Hat Society lady and Queen. Best of Luck to all of you and Angel Hugs - I do believe in Angels and Hugs can do wonders.
