It is mostly anxiety attack. I have lorazepam.5 and when it gets bad I put one under my tongue and calms me quite quickly. Only use when I have these attacks. Haven't had one for 2 months now. Feeling lucky!!

I can understand the "don't want to go to the doctor" mind set because I've been there many times! Those panic episodes when you can't get enough oxygen are very real. Do your best to calm down enough to do your pursed lip breathing and keep it up until your panic subsides and you are getting a better o2 flow. Once you are breathing a little better, get on the phone and make arrangements to see your doc ASAP! I am on an anti-depressant and an anti-anxiety medication both along with all my other meds. The inability to breathe causes the panic/anxiety which makes breathing more difficult and feeds the panic - it's a vicious circle!

I am on o2, 24/7, but when I'm doing well, I only use it at night - lm going to guess I only need daytime o2 assistance approximately 50% +/- of the time. The rest of the time, my portable concentrator allows me to stay active!

Please see your doc. You don't have to suffer like that. Wishing the best breathing for you!

Could be caused by anxiety. Try pursed lip breathing while you sit quietly. I get like that when I have an anxiety attack. Do you have a Pulmonologist? If it doesn't improve I suggest you get it checked out.

@Elizabethan.It probably a combination of your meds that is making you feel that way. i get to where i feel like a energy battery my insides feel like they are shaking a hundred miles a hour...it doesn't hurt just feels weird, i just had a check up and that is what the doctor told me..ask your doctor or you pharmacist next time you get your meds refilled...it that is the case...Hope this helped....

I have had similar experiences and the doctor put me on Breo. It helps reduce the symptoms. It felt like an asthma attack. I still get them sometimes but not often. Also try to keep some steroids on hand.
