Is Anyone Having Problems Tasting Certain Foods?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I may be able to taste an egg, but can't taste steak. I can taste iced tea, but I just tried making enchiladas for the first time and can't taste squat! I think I finally found a great way to lose all of my extra weight. Why eat if ya can't taste? I can eat veggies I don't like that are good for me and not have to taste them. Lol. Be well and God bless, everyone!

Good evening everyone
Food is just food
I eat so I won't die
I know there's a lot of foods I can't eat anymore
Bread
Milk
Broccoli
Anything spicey
Anything that involves a lot of chewing
Burns more oxygen to digest
Prayers go out for us all
Slow and steady we go

Hi everyone
Hope you all had a blessed Christmas

Sorry I haven’t been on much
Since we moved in April
House was a total remodel
Winding down from that
My husband had a massive stroke
So now I’m the caregiver
I’ve lost 30 pounds
Since the move started

I don’t like hot or spicy or gassy foods
Takes too much oxygen to digest and makes me super tired

Prayers go out for us all
Slow and steady we go
Never alone

I'm the opposite. I like to eat too much and with physical activity causing SOB this time of year, it's not good. It's just weird the things I can taste and the things I can't. I can taste an orange, but not chili? Oh well. Like I said, it's a good way for me to lose weight if I can't taste it. Thank you. Be well and God bless.

Well.....since I quit smoking 4 years ago I can taste a lot more than I did.....that being said.....it hasn't helped the things that tasted bad to me prior taste better......but it has helped me to some extent......and so far the medicines I take don't hinder my taste buds

I'm so sorry about your husband's difficulties. I'm praying for you and your husband to have the faith and the strength to continue to heal. He couldn't ask for a better caregiver. Take care. 🙏🏻❤️
