Moving Out Of State - How Does That Work With The Oxygen Supplier
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I may have to move out of state. My concerns are how/where do I make arrangements for my oxygen where I will be moving? What do I do with my stationery oxygen concentrator that I need/use now? I of course will have to bring my portable tanks for the drive. Anyone been through this? Thank you all.

Call your provider and see how they want to handle returning the concentrator you have now, and whether they would suggest a provider where you're moving to. If not, just look up O2 providers and you'll find the ones that service your state; start calling around and see who services your area and then choose one. I'd suggest you ask a lot of questions if you have a choice of providers and choose the one that will provide the best service for you.

The provider you are now using may be a national company and they will handle all your situation! I have a national company and when I went on vacation, they had O2 waiting for me the day before I arrived at the place where I was staying! Hopefully you have the same situation!!

Sorry, Barbara, but most docs have no knowledge of how the home O2 system works. If yours does, count your blessings.
