I take the mucinex 1200. Been taking it for years. Well started with the small pill and that really doesn't do it at all for me. So went to the 1200 and it works fine. Have to remember you have to drink more fluids for the mucinex to do its job.

PatBriggs .... I have been taking montelukast now for a couple years and the DRIPPING from my nose has completely stopped. I mean it would just drip and I was busy and unaware of it. I take montelukast along with Claritin Allergy & Sinus ... no discharge. VENTOLIN - I got the shakes horribly .. refused to take as rescue inhaler as ended up in hospital. Dr. prescribed .. Bricanyl ... as my rescue inhaler. I take it first thing in the morning as it opens the airways ... and then proceed with my Spiriva and Advair. Have noticed a big increase in how I feel. Before I could hardly walk very far and out of breath. Been following above procedure and hardly use the Bricanyl after the AM. But .. was advised to keep using to keep the airways open.

For those of you that don't like water, have you tried putting some lemon or lime in it?

I use a combination of products. I get Mullein and Nac from the health food store and two other products called Lung Flush and Resprit which are manufactured by Omega Alpha Pharmacies Inc in Toronto Ontario Canada. There (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators) . I only have a breathing capacity of 14% so every little bit helps plus exercise is extremely important . Ibvelieve that these products wouldn,t be as effective if Ididn,t walk evry day I go to an indoor track and take a walker with a basket to carry my tank.I am on oxygen 24/7 and I walk a mile a day. I walk a 1/4 and rest for a few minutes then continue until I have walked 4 1/4s . For those of you that can,t get Omega products I used Mullein and nac for years and they certainly are helpful . Use 3 times per day take 2 nac and 2 table spoons . Good luck. Hopefuly this is helpful .
