I Am So Congested When I Get Up In The Morning And After My Naps That My Breathing Is Labored. Are You Experiencing This?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

When I arise in the morning and after my naps, my chest is very congested and my breathing is labored. I've started using my rescue inhaler to get a jump-start on my feet. Is your breathing impacted when you get up?

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, the only thing I have to add to @A MyCOPDTeam Member 's post is that when lying on your left side it may be helpful to lay your top arm over a rolled up pillow.....it helps so you don't crunch up your airways.

I have a few blankets under my matress at the head of my bed it helps my congestion it's raised just enough so I don't slide down and it makes such a difference
Hope this helps

I use my rescue inhaler first thing then have my coffee then hit the nebulizer. It takes an hour or more for me to get my get up and go. But it helps at least until lunch drink water whenever I need to stay hydrated.

First thing I do is nebulize to open up airway and lungs.
