So I Was Put On Symbacort For Asthma
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Due to change of insurance I was just prescribed Arnuity Ellipta! I was wondering if there was a big difference and which one was better! I was always told from other people with asthma they don’t know why I was given symbicort in the first place for my asthma?

Symbiocort is a combination of a long acting beta agonist and an inhaled corticosteroid. Arnuity is just the steroid, with no bronchodilator. Arnuity may be specific for asthma, but Symbicort is a typical maintenance med prescribed for asthma and COPD both. At this point, most meds can be used for either.
