I've a mate who's a neck breather, he uses a small vibration thing so he can talk.

I can only breathe through a hole in my neck so we call ourselves "Neck Breathers". I do not breathe through my nose or mouth any more since cancer caused vocal cord,voice box and esophagus removal. Trachea was rerouted to neck and called a stoma to breathe . Pictures at the following search site.Copy and paste

He neck breathers! I think those that are connected directly to the oxy via neck, see @ Mel37 post. He is hooked up at the neck.
