My vendor and docs agree that if you've had an episode of bronchitis or sinus infection, you should change tubing when you have recuperated, so you don't have residual bacteria etc on tubing. Aero chambers, capella or breathing valves need cleaning probably weekly and nebulizer setups at least daily ....some people do it after each use. I tried cleaning Neb tubing and it didn't dry properly. If you wash it, attach one end to your oxygen source and increase o2. This blows out extra water and helps with drying. Remember too, that neb kits should be changed out every 6 months. I change my cannula, connectors and 25 foot tubing monthly. The cannula change, as above may be more often. If you are on a concentrator, wash your filters monthly or more often if needed. Techs from the vendor should do this as well when they check your machine. Sleep well Breathe easy ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

I usually clean the cannula and when it doesn't seem to be as soft as it was to begin with, I use a new one. Maybe every three weeks. I only buy cannula at 7 ft or 4 ft and connect it to my tubing. It is better than getting a 25 or 50 ft tube with the cannula attached and way cheaper too You can clean the cannula with alcohol swabs or vinegar. I usually just order mine from Ebay or Amazon, but I think medicare does pay for some Hope this helps. Breathe easy.
