Inhaling DEEP
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone have problems with inhaling deep into your lungs.? I was diagnosed with COPD/asthma almost 16 yrs ago and have been on many inhalants. Presently, I'm on Dulera and duo-.neb. If I inhale really deep, my whole day is ruined, I have a terrible time breathing and can hardly get off the chair, I have gone to MAYO in Mn. The dr's refuse to believe me---even my own Dr.!! So when I take my med it just goes into my mouth and I then exhale. Wondering if I"m the only odd ball??

mikel, i inhale my three inhalers for just as long as i can and then exhale --you can do this as well just maybe in time you will be able to do more ---don't make yourself suffer ---just do what you can and you will feel much better and maybe later in the day when you feel good you may want to inhale a little more ----you will be just fine ----god bless, muriel

Are you saying that if you take your meds properly: deep inhale and hold your breath for 10 seconds you can't breathe the rest of the day? Have you demonstrated that to anyone? I think in your shoes I would certainly want to do that so they can see exactly what you're doing and what your reaction is for the remainder of the day.
