Hello LynnPoppe
The book is called, The COPD Solution.
Written by Dawn Lesley Fielding.
You can get it on Amazon.
I always have this book close at hand. Its 280 pages of wonderful. Very honest and positive. The very last paragraph says,
Pat yourself on the back for taking a proactive approach in dealing with the issues you are facing. Pat yourself on the back for taking care of yourself. Pat yourself on the back for the way your activity levels will increase and the progression of your lung disease will slow. You deserve it. You are welcoming the acceptance of your disease, but not succumbing to it and remember,
You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.
Lol Suzz. You will love this book. I hate reading but for some reason I couldnt put it down. Its loaded with info. I use it as a dictionary. When I need to look something up or I have a problem this book almost always has a answer. My favorite chapter is Make Peace With COPD. It is important that we get to a point in which we accept our condition. Accepting our condition will allow us to progress, make allowable changes to our activities, and alter our previous methods of performing tasks to fit our current situation. I have got to slow down. Everything I do is to fast. Which causes me to get out of breath real easy. I cant believe how hard this is to do. It sounds so easy. Can you tell I love this book. Smiles!!!!!
They have standard forms on line. The lung association has them too.
