Need Help Figuring Out What My Specific Problem Is, Or If It Is Just One Of The Expected Issues Of This Disease.
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

For the past 2 days I have had a little difficulty breathing, but chalked it up to the humid weather. However yesterday I got extremely upset over a personal matter and have gone downhill ever since. Taking meds as usual, took a breathing treatment, pursed breathing and still short of breath. My oxygen level has been from 96-99 and blood pressure pretty well controlled. Hard for me to understand since I am not too intelligent on the subject, so would love to hear your ideas and speculations… read more

, @A MyCOPDTeam Member, when I had this problem, people mentioned to me that I might have air stuck in that needs to get out, that is our problem with COPD, we can't get the bad air out, so we need to blow balloons, cough, also I have noticed that it is harder for me to breathe when my pulse is up, hope this helps

thanks for the post, you all can agree or not,but it is fact that we as copd parients are being taken advantage of by drug companys, especially with emphysema.when I first saw a pulmonologist in 2003 and told him I was alergic to inhaled steroids. He told me that actually they would not do me much good, they are mostly if you have an asthma copd cross they will help as they know what causes asthma but not copd as its systemic.I did some research in 2009 when they came up with spiriva annual world sales were 9BILLION,yes billion.Do you think it would be in their interest to find a cure or at least slow things down. Its up to us to get together and compare symptoms and home made aids to our condition and force the goverment to pay attention.I did not think this was possible but with the preent government I can not believe the corruption with the lobbyists or legal bribery excuse my spelling. I am doing a lot of research especially from Europe.I am new to this site ond not to sure were to post properly so bare with me, thks frank..

Prednisone can cause you to react that way...be on edge. Usually if i do a neb tx and it doesnt help much it means something is brewing and i end up in the ER with an exacerbation. If you have emohasema is is common to be SOB but still have a good 02 sat. With emphasema the problem is getting the air out of the lungs, not in. However my nurse said if i am SOB with good sat put the 02 on anyways.

I use to be on symbicort and spiriva for many years till eventually the symbicort stopped working, my doc stopped the symbicort and gave me vannair, vannair is just the same as symbicort but it does help. I tend to agree with sobko, the powers that be will be very reluctant to find a cure for COPD can you imagine the money they would lose out on Billions. Also i have notoced the ladt 3 months i have been getting infections in the nose and my sinuses have been playing up i put this down to the weather as its gotten warmer and pollen is abound, but i will keep a closer eye on whats happening as sobko alluded to something else at play here. Thank you @A MyCOPDTeam Member for highlighting some interesting points. Keep informing us please. Knowledge certainly empowers.
