Looking for advice re purchasing an NHC Cyclo Circulation Stimulation Therapy pad which comes with a portable vibrating hand unit - supplied by a company called Niagra. This was demonstrated to me by a sales consultant and the cost is £1500.
I was wondering if anyone had experience of this and does it work?
I don’t have experience with that particular unit, @A MyCOPDTeam Member and @A MyCOPDTeam Member as my understanding is that it’s more for someone dealing with mucus build up in their system (think lupus or cystic fibrosis sufferers).
One of the members of my Better Breathers Club bought a similar oscilliotherapy chest vibration device off of eBay because he thought it would help his bronchiestisis (spelling?) and his doc didn’t say he shouldn’t try it.
I’d talk to your doc to see if there is any reason why you shouldn’t try it (heart arrythmias, etc), and if he or she doesn’t object, then go for it.
Not every treatment device works for everyone, and trying things you feel may benefit you and that you can afford never hurts.
I’ve enclosed pictures of similar vests to Joe’s to illustrate what he demonstrated, and if you can afford it and your doc says it may help, go for it.
Sorry - 2nd try on loading the oscillating chest therapy vest images, @A MyCOPDTeam Member and @A MyCOPDTeam Member.
It seems a lot of cash for something you don’t know will work 😳 you may be better sticking with the medication that’s on offer.and exercise where possible I know when I try to exercise I get so out of breath in a short time and my walking distance is decreasing all the time I bought a tread mill and am always pottering around shame you can’t get one of those on trial 👍
Thank you, I didn't know what it was.
