I have been using Symbicort for 3-4 years. About 1 year ago I was placed on Carvedilol (COREG) for my heart. Since then I have been having more days when breathing is harder. I know this is a symptom of taking these two together. Just wondering if anyone has worked out a system - like what order to take them or how much time to leave between taking each, which allows better breathing results.
I would certainly check with your pulmo and ask. My reading indicates that recent studies don't show that beta blockers have the effects on breathing that early studies (in the 1960s) did. Perhaps some sort of timing of meds could make a difference, or you could try an ACE inhibitor type of blood pressure med.
Hi Alan, I don't know if this helps because I take Cardizem CD 240MG cap. And Symbicort no problem but the heart med is time released see if your heart meds come in time release. Try to breathe easy.
Hello AlanHunter I used Symbicort with Spriva pluse pro air all together I took Spriva/Symbicort then if needed pro air I never did have trouble with them now I'm on Trelegy the best one I've ever had I think you are supposed to wait at least 10 seconds before taking another one I hope you will be fine be sure to rinse your mouth really good it can give you a yeast infection if you don't
