The dryer weather would be better for you, I would think. The dry and not so humid state. Breathe easy.

I am in United Kingdom and my care at docs is really good but inthe 10 years I have had copd I have only had 2 steroidinhalers and I also have a Salbutomol inhalerwhich I use through a pump , the steroid one is button one which fires to the back of the throat called Duaklir Genuair I use morningand night the Salbutomol I use any time I want and some days I never needed it . My husband said it would be better by the sea so we moved I have been ill quite often since I came here the fret off the sea is damp and our Lodge is wet all outside every night until next morning England is renowned for its useless weather

Benadryl is usually ok.....check with your doc to be sure it will be okay for you and all the meds you're taking or talk with your pharmacist.
