My question is: do all COPD diagnoses mean both obstructive (narrowing) and restrictive? New to this nd trying to understand what Dr is saying...
No. It can be obstructive or restrictive or both. Continue to ask your doc questions until you understand. Especially if you have both, it can be really difficult. The most important question is what is the treatment plan? What's he doing to do for either or both?
Thank you. Dr says I have both plus right now, fighting an infection.
We know that asthma often becomes COPD in adults who have asthma as adults. It's called Asthma/COPD overlap. The COPD Foundation is doing research in this area. www.copdfoundation.org
I had asthma now they say its COPD so which is it.???
