Well I deal with copd around 10 to 12 years last 2 years I deteriorate a lot till December 2018 I was doing pulmonary rehab and used oxígeno for sleep,exercising o when I get seek,with MAC infection I have to used 24/7,always I try to be active but lately is very hard,but I do wherever I can,now for stage 3 to 4 take me like 3 years but everybody is different,keep moving,I hope can I answer you question

Not everyone has the side effects. I would suggest you go to www.copdfoundation.org an d join the bronchiectasis registry they have and the social platform where you can ask questions and talk with people who have many of the same issues you have. Another good source of information is www.ntminfo.org

Those are the two best sites to get good information about bronchiectasis, MAC and other infections as well as the medications that people have taken.

I was diagnosed with Mac lung infection in April,I take 3 antibiotics (Rifampin,Azitromizen and Ethambutol ) the first 2 months only I want to sleep,no energy,always tired I cant even walk 2 step without oxygen and also in stage 4 copd with 23% lung function, but now i feeling much better I can drive with oxygen,but sometimes y pushed and I walk a little bit without,I breath much better now,I was used nebulizer every 6 hours the first to months,now 1 a week,also my appetite was very low and I loose few pounds,what make me breath better, i hope my comment help you,and good luck and we have to be strong and deal with , big hug

How long did it take you to get to stage four from stage three? I am a stage three and just feel I am going downhill fast
