I am wondering if I can get them to remove the online portals for me at my doctors????

Not necessarily. Sometimes I get frustrated because I do not understand things. I may go to the lung dr. with a few questions that there may not be any time to get to, then leave with many more questions! I really do not like the online portal part of doctor visits. There are often things listed as diagnoses that I have never been told that I have and have never been tested for like with the lung dr. Patient portal says I have Congenital Bronchiectasis????????????? I read about it but it does not sound like me! I have Sarcoidosis with fibrosis and persistant asthma. The lungs get complicated with perennial post nasal drip and reflux. If I have a cough is generally dry. Normally have only one flare a year, but since moving to the South had 2 in my first year here. The flares are not as bad as in the NE where it gets much colder, as cold air really hits me hard even if I cover up.
Once when I wrote to my lung dr. she did not address anything I had to say only to thank me for participating in the program online! So I won't write to her anymore online as it does no good. We have spent one year trying to learn to work together and I think it is getting a little better. From the beginning she wanted to change my meds, and finally after 8 months I allowed her to make changes, then I had a flare, then more changes, at the moment I feel different even better with the breathing. She added long acting meds to my short acting regimen. So am saving the short acting meds for when I need them or have a flare. So much is guess work as doctors do not tell you enough to be on the same page and they resent that the patient has any brain enough to try to learn about their condition (common with many doctors but not all). When I leave a lung dr. (my new one) I am not sure what meds to keep in the routine when new ones are added. So I asked her 2 visits to right down what she tells me. She talks softly and with foreign accent plus I don't think she likes me very well. She is young as well. My other lung dr. was my age and I had him for 40 years! Too frustrating to get started with, sorry so much. My daughter says that her drs respond and answer questions online for her so I thought I would try to communicate that way.

Thank you. I found the articles under resources. Some articles are very limited. I do wish they gave more information. Thanks for your help.
