I take hydro morphine for S O B. I’m on paliative care. The drug takes away the feeling of S O B. which means less coughing.

Morphine is often prescribed to make patients more comfortable as COPD progresses and the need for O2 is greater and greater. Sometimes people feel something that is described as "air hunger" and the morphine subdues that feeling so people aren't anxious and frightened. It is often used in palliative care and hospice to make people more comfortable.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member I am on Morphine also. Helps quite a bit. Nothing to be afraid of if it’s going to help you. Take care

I have been taking it for about a week now, it does help
with sob for sure! I am starting with a small dose to get use to it .02 on
the little syringe every 4 hours as needed!

Just took my first squirt yesterday (1.25mls) for breathlessness and didn’t notice much difference.
