It's certainly possible. The lung cavity has pain receptors and if the lungs rub against them, that can cause pain in the back. Another possible reason for pain in the back would be muscle strain associated with breathing. There are lots of possibilities and I suggest you see your doc to determine the cause and if there's anything to be done about it.
