I use Rikadeine cough mixture for dry cough when my coughing is really bad just to get some relief. You have to ask for it over counter dispensary Don't use it all the time as a certain amount of coughing is needed to remove mucus from the lungs

When I get the coughing really bad I take Rikodeine it is a cough suppressant but I only have 1 dose on days that the coughing is bad. As still need to cough some to bring up phlegm plus it has codeine in it which they tend not to like to give you these days. It's a behind the counter medication so you have to give your details to chemist Good luck hope you feel a lot better soon

you could try a nebulizer (doc. refer) with a c- pap mech. is how I still live. I stop breathing a lot while I sleep and hard to breath during the day. sorry about the rant. the nebulizer help reduce the flehm in your lungs, c- pap helps put o2 in your body you need.

If your cough is productive, mucinex may help, as will devices like the acapella and aerobika. Talk with your doc about saline solution to be nebulized and about the possibility that you also have bronchiectasis. If you don't have a pulmonologist, you need one. Most PCPs as good as they may be aren't current on both diagnostic techniques for COPD, treatments and best practices. If you want good care, that's up to date and comprehensive, see a pulmonologist.
