Lots of people experience exactly what your are dealing with. For the allergies, check with your pulmonologist and allergist to see what you might take that would help alleviate some of these difficult situations. You definitely want to be sure that your allergies don't create exacerbations; you don't need those! As for breathing in the humidity, that doesn't have a nice easy fix. One thing that many people do is to go outside in the very early morning, when it's cooler and even if it's humid it doesn't seem to be quite so bad. Evening also works. The humidity is always a concern, but the real culprit in terms of breathing is the dew point. Anything above 60 generally makes it much harder to breathe. And unfortunately, there's no fix for that. Many people really rely on A/C to stay comfortable during a hot, humid time.

Be very careful inhaling over boiled water, it can burn you as I learned first hand. Please keep away from your breathing machines and never put Vicks on when using your breathing machines. Especially near your face, under nose, etc. It is flammable.

@A MyCOPDTeam Member, have allergies galore and used to go to specialist for years. Now there is so many more ,man made things out there including medications that my body goes nuts trying to cope. Food, environment, medications, etc. Nobody could keep up with all this info and I'd never want to go through all that testing again. At my age the less I put in my body the better off I am. Look up Trilogy, I know it is helpful to many who have been on two meds but the Trilogy is a 3 way and many swear by it. As far as CBD oils, I'm allergic to them and break out in hives and shortness of breath. Good luck in finding what helps you most. Hugs

I live in Houston, TX. It kills me I feel like almost every day of the summer, the humidity and heat, I simply can't breathe. I stay in under A/C, it's the only thing I can do. As my pulmonary care physician said, lungs and water don't mix. This summer has been extremely bad. Honestly, I can't think of anything to change it unless I would move. Airborne allergens also contribute to mine year-round.

My love put a teaspoon of menthol chest rub(my mum would put Vicks chest rub on me to clear my airways when I was a kid) into a say a mixing bowl, add some boiling hot water about 2 pints and mix together, put a towel over ya head and then head over bowel and breath in normally with the odd deep breath.. Keep eyes closed... The technique for this are online.. 😁
