Breztri is NOT a new drug. It is a new combination of a LAMA, a LABA and an ICS manufactured by Astra Zeneca, and is the same combination as Trelegy.. The LAMA, LABA and ICS that make up Breztri have been available from AZ for many years. Taking it or Trelegy would mean you wouldn't be taking the Asmnax, but would get your ICS in the Breztri.

Please understand that the Bevespi and Breztri are made by two different companies, and the LAMAs, LABAs and ICSs they use are different. You may find that Beztri works well for you, but it may not, because the chemical make-up of the meds are different even though they're all in the same class.

We haven't had a new med developed for COPD in over 10 years. That's not to say the combination inhalers are good; they're just NOT new. They're just old meds in dual or triple therapy.

Thanks, Jean, for the info. Trelegy never worked for me so maybe I am better off with my current meds. Will check with my Pulmo.
