Mine starts with a really heavy cough and I can feel my chest rattling as I try too bring up the mucus and it won't move. Then the shortness of breathe starts.

Thank you. That's kind of how am feeling. My oxygen level is at 95. I am going to call the doctors tomorrow.

For me I get a really tight feeling in my chest and I have much more trouble with my breathing. I feel like it takes all of my energy just to breathe. Please take care

Went to the doctors .She said my chest was congested had me have a Chest X-ray thought it could be pneumonia. I am on an antibiotic . Hopefully I'll start to feel better in a couple of days.

I usually have a cough and when the mucous changes color, I start an antibiotic. The key is to catch it before it gets bad enough that you need to go to the hospital, so do talk with your doc. If you don't have one, take a copy of an action plan with you and work with your doc to go over each of the yellow and red flags and add your own. That way you know how to react when something comes up.
