I look after my mum who has COPD. She's had a couple of flare ups. The doctors are reluctant to give her steroids and always wait until she is seriously ill, it's disgusting. Is there anything she can use as an alternative to steroids. I tried to buy some in the UK but want to buy them somewhere safe.
My doctor just put me on 3 antibiotics a week.i want to see if it helps
I live in the UK and it is very hard to get steroids from any British doctor there are very strict and when you do get them its only for 6 days ,I have asked for predistone several times the last time I asked, the pulmonary nurse was last Monday said she will visit me in a months time and said we will see how you are then but still no steroids stay safe everyone ( babs evans hartlepool UK )
Get another Dr.my Dr has me on steriods all the time I also get a shot.thats the only thinge that helps
There is people on steroids all year round but on a daily short 1 or 2 a day dosage
You can't use steroids all the time, if misused they damage other organs over time. Perhaps your Mum needs to see a Respiratory consultant if possible, sadly Covid has made that very difficult in some country's.
