Has Anyone Had A Zephyr Valve Installed Recently ?
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I 'am going to look into getting Zephyr valves to see if it can possibly enable me to walk more than 2-3 miles a day , has anyone tried them? If so what is positive and negative about them? All responses will be cherished.

They are valves placed in the lungs to deflate a lung that is not working to provide more room for the ones that are. Reviews are mixed my estimate is 75% of recipients say they are wonderful the ot% are not happy with them. I hope to be getting them this month

Hi, @A MyCOPDTeam Member - do a search on “zephyr” and you should see a post I did awhile back about everyone I could find who’d had it done in the last year or so.

I think the results were what @A MyCOPDTeam Member said - about 33% excellent, 33% meh, 33% it didn’t work.

VERY WELL PUT @A MyCOPDTeam Member

It is not a surgery! It is a procedure in which a type of tubing scope with the valves in them go down your throat and implanted into your lungs. How many they implant, depends on need. 3-6 ? It takes approximately 30 minutes to an hour to perform this procedure. My Lung function is 20%, 😤 I feel I have nothing to lose, and good breathing to gain! 😤 my procedure is scheduled for next month. All your prayers are appreciated. Prayer 🙏🏼 Works!

Nothing wrong with a stop or two @A MyCOPDTeam Member. Your Boston probably appreciates the stops as well.
