COPD And Swallowing
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have problems swallowing occasionally and have learned a couple of tricks that help a lot. (Expel air, then swallow pills) I also ran across this article today and thought I'd send it along to you. Have you read this?

Same here. Small bites, chew thoroughly and be mindful of my breathing. Except for scrambled eggs w/cheese, sausage, biscuit and cheesy grits. Then I just get stupid and forget all that. Liver and onions? No problem.

Sorry @A MyCOPDTeam Member but I get little paranoid when someone mentions the throat and a hard time swallowing in the same sentence. Ask your doctor to refer you to an ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialist, who in turn may refer you to an otolaryngologist (he/she is a surgeon) specializing in problems with the head and neck. In the meantime, talk or use your voice as little as possible. I don't want to scare you, but caution never hurts. Also I am obviously not a doctor. Let's just say I'm familiar with the feelings. Good luck.

When my phone rings I answer:
Nut House, Cashew speaking.

it's just how I feel.

and its gonna be a great day!

Some medication isn't supposed to be crushed or broken in half. Check with your doc; I got a list from one of my docs-or maybe it was the pharmacist @A MyCOPDTeam Member. I have trouble with the ones that aren't coated, the rest are ok.

So glad that you found that and fixed it. That can be dangerous. The first responders once turned my dad's up without consulting the doctor and my dad ended up in the hospital with carbon poisoning. It it is set higher than you need it, it can really mess you up.
