Does anyone use a CPAP machine. I was in the hospital back in April and some how wound up with a CPAP machine. Nobody has really explained why they want me to sleep with it on. They said it would make you feel better but that has yet to be proven to me. I feel like crap.
@A MyCOPDTeam Member🙇🏼‍♀️🙌 I have been using a CPAP for 20+ years. And once I went on oxygen my oxygen provider put an attachment on my CPAP so I could get what I need.
Mine has water reservoir and I get masks provided as well. Most nights I am happy for bed time. Mine was ordered because I skim Breathe. Asthma is one reason I didn’t like to hear myself wheeze and rattle, I sleep like a baby.
Set up is easy, hope you are benefit from using it.
God Bless you and sweet dreams Breathe Easy
Phillips isn't the only company that manufactures C-pap machines. Most DME providers use more more than one manufacturer. While some DME's are scrambling, not all are. Ask around, and docs usually know which DME's have equipment in your area.
Yes I have one also and also love using it. You stop breathing so many times during the night and this makes you not do it as often....I was told when I was tested that I stopped breathing 17 times in an hour and with the cpap I now only stop breathing once or twice in an hour and it is supposed to make you more aware and not so tired during the day.
A C-pap is prescribed for sleep apnea. If you don't know why it was prescribed, you can certainly find out who prescribed it and talk with your pulmonologist about why you are supposed to use it and for what. I used one when I had sleep apnea and it certainly did make a difference. I got a really good night's sleep and didn't get miserably sleepy during the day.
Thank you. I have the Res med 10 it's sames to work fine . But all I was told by the man at VA where I picked it up was setting the humidity 4 heated tubing on 80. The other setting were 10 and 4. I've played with the humidity and tube setting till I got it where I can sleep with it. That's it.
