I was diagnosed with emphysema 2 years ago . Unfortunately . Because of covid a lot of people with COPD have been forgotten ! The NHS is in crisis . Not seen a doctor only to be told there's nothing we can do for me . So it's up to me to find out as much as I can to help myself . Sorry that it looks as though you're being ignored by the NHS, but the good news is that you're doing al lot of the right things. Quitting smoking is the key to the whole thing, so by doing that you've taken care of a lot of your problems and should find that things will get better. Walking the dog is excellent, particularly if you push yourself and the dog to increase the intensity of the exercise. Most of us shoot for 30 minutes of non-stop aerobic exercise daily to help the heart and lungs become much more efficient; that's why you need to increase the intensity of the exercise: the more intense, the greater the improvement. Joining a gym to do strengthening exercises is an excellent idea and well worth it; that's help increase your stamina and endurance. Quitting smoking and exercise are the two most important things you can do to help with your COPD. Watching your weight, taking meds, staying away from people with bugs and getting treatment quickly before you get really sick with any sort of respiratory bug is crucial.
I don't think lungwort can hurt you, but I would check with this web site: https://www.nccih.nih.gov/health/dietary-and-he... The site will give you information about lungwort that may be helpful to you and it will tell you what it doesn't interact with well. As for CBD oil; my understanding is that it will do nothing for COPD specifically, but is helpful with other aches and pains.
Thank you ☺️
