I was wondering if any of you have had zephyr valves put in and how you feel about them. Has it improved your life, are you able to do things without using oxygen, what did you have to go through to get them?
Any information you could share would be much appreciated. My doctor feels I would be a good candidate for this procedure.
Thanks for your input.
I had the valves done roughly 2 years ago. After I dropped my liter flow to 2 (was on 4) and could go without my oxygen for short periods of time, even go outside without. One big advantage is that when I do get short of breath my recovery time is shorter and not as scary.
Thanks for your input Merle, much appreciated.
Hi,I had the zephyr valves procedure September 6th,my breathing has greatly improved, lowered oxygen to 2lpm from 4lpm after 2 weeks! Still need some oxygen when really exerting but on stationary bike now without oxygen!!!I will tell anyone with copd get tested for procedure and have it!!!! No pain or incision n only 3 days in hospital if no complications, I'd do it again!!!! Now I look forward to getting up n starting my day as I know I can do things again and breath with little or no oxygen......have a blessed breath ez weekend ❤️
