I switched to Duoneb - it's albuterol and another medication - because I was having rapid heartbeats with straight albuterol. Much less shaky and no rapid heartbeats!

I take it very sparingly and only diring emergencies. What did your doctor offer you to replace it?

Melissa--I agree...the Albuterol makes me shake so bad my writing is all over the place--when I use it I could scramble a skillet of eggs and I don't intentionally stir them around--the albuterol does it--do not like the way it makes me feel--similar to 4 cups of Hgh Octane Coffee on an empty stomach. Not sure of anything to counteract it beyond changing the medication, @A MyCOPDTeam Member. I hate the side effects so much that I refuse to take it. I can take (non-generic) xopenex or QVAR, but even those I only take sparingly to avoid the shakes and related irritability. Hugs to you, as I know this is aggravating.
