Predinsone Causing Headaches
A MyCOPDTeam Member asked a question 💭

My body isn't liking it, I have to go on prednisone for a couple of weeks. Here's my question:
Has anyone (that's been on this medication) had success getting rid of the headache that goes along with it????
Regular headache medication doesn't seem to even take the edge off.

Many have difficulty with Prednisone. You must speak with your doctor and make them switch to a different steroid..Dexamethasone is an alternative, it has to be prescribed in larger doses and for a bit longer than Prednisone but many tolerate it much better..you have to be your own advocate, you know your body best.
I have no issues with Prednisone myself, I tolerate it well.

I have never had any problems with Prednisone burst been using it for over
20 years to get over lung infections etc, along with a Z-Pak. Works great for me.

I too got severe headaches for a whole month after stopping prednisone. I didn’t relate it to taking it but now do.
