Prednisone reduces the inflammation in the lungs. Using it on a daily basis is one of the things used to try to reduce inflammation and the accompanying mucus that clogs the lungs and makes it harder to breathe when intermittent doses no longer work. Something you should ask about is adding daliresp or azithromycin three times a week instead of the prednisone. Both are anti-inflammatories and don't have near the difficult side-effects.
Just became part of the team started oxygen 01/04/2023 boy do I have alot to learn. Never mind answers I don't even know the question! Not to sound like I'm making light of the situation I know how serious it is, but was diagnosed just before COVID so because of my age and breathing problems hospital preferred me to stay away. Came thru COVID distance, mask, all shots boosters o.k this just blind-sided me now. Glad I stumbled into you people still scared s- less. Please have patience am old, male and me there is a recipe for disaster right there. Thank you
That’s great! Thank you I will
That’s the only time I use right now. My Doc says some people,as progression creeps on you, a dose of 20 mg per day opens airways to breath better. Just curious. Don’t want any more than I have to. Thanks for the reply
